Hi my name is Candace and your assistance is needed and requested!
If you feel lead after reading the below to contribute any amount would be a tremendous help to avoid the financial stress and burden that has come from this accident taking both working parents from being able to bring in a salary during this difficult time.
On Friday 4/27 around 9:30 pm my brother Phillip and Sister n law Alaina were on their way home together on their motorcycle when a car turned out in front of them forever changing their life.
There was no opportunity for them to avoid the horrible collison. Phillip and Alaina collided with the drivers side of the car. Alaina was ejected from the motorcycle and Phillip was trapped between both vehicles (car and motorcycle).
Both are being treated by an incredible staff at Tampa Regional Trauma center.
Phillip had an extensive 8 1/2 hour surgery yesterday to rebuild both hands, wrists, arms, shoulder and collar bone.
Alaina continues to be in ICU as she had adrenal hemorrhage which has now resolved, several fractured ribs and a compression fracture of L1 vertebra. She is scheduled for surgery tomorrow Monday 4/30.
Anyone that knows these two know that they are an amazing couple that have great strength and love for everyone.
They recently relocated to FL from NC and have three beautiful children. With the youngest daughter Alyssa having type 1 diabetes still living at home.
In February Phillip and Alaina celebrated their first date of 25 years together and they are a beautiful team together.
Alaina is a nurse with a passion to help others and Phillip is a self employed business owner within the auto glass trade.
This morning Alaina stated that they are overwhelmed with the great out pour of love and prayers.
Phillip said last night to me and again this morning I would like to again thank everyone for the prayers! His ask is please continue as he can feel the power in the prayers!
This is going to be a long road with many unknowns still at this time however as a family we give thanks that we know that hope comes in the morning.
Even though the driver was clearly at fault and received numerous tickets Phillip and Alaina do not have short or long term disability coverage. They have been told that the process of the drivers insurance will be just that a long process which will not be immediate and yet there are immediate needs and concerns.
With this being said I would like to ask if you feel lead to help financially in any amount it would be incredible helpful during this difficult time. Also, please share this link on your Facebook timeline and email.
Thank you from our family to yours.
Respectfully,
Candace
