Hello everyone, the Barnes Family really needs a village of support during this very tough time. The father of this family and primary provider, Dean Barnes, lost his battle with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) and Polycystic Liver Disease, (PLD). Dean’s battle with these genetic diseases ended on 12/22/2022. He left behind his wife, Viki, their 5 children, and 2 grandchildren.

For the past 10 years, this family have incurred mounting medical expenses and increased household bills associated with home dialysis. Dean performed home dialysis six day a week, while continuing to worked as much as these disease would allow him too. Over the last year, his health has declined rapidly. For the past 7 months, Dean has been in and out of the hospital with a severe decline in quality of life over the past 2 months. The liver cysts became more and more infected causing constant liver infections. This led to Dean losing his battle to these genetics disease.

The family has had to choose between paying household bills and medical bills necessary for Dean’s care. The family is now facing the funeral and service costs to lay Dean to rest. We are asking for a donation for the Barnes Family to help pay for the funeral and service costs. Any additional moneys will be used to pay the medical and household costs while Dean’s wife rebuilds her life without he best friends and husband.
