Deaf School in Puerto Rico
Hello Everyone,
Colegio San Gabriel para Sordo in Puerto Rico, is a Deaf school in San Juan. I was able to contact a Deaf teacher and asked if they needed help.
There is no power, no water and no signal. The school does not know when the power will be back on. Many trees fall on campus and the park is damaged. Their books are wet and the theatre salon damaged. No one knows what happened to the Deaf students. Some students have lost their homes. They are in deep desperate need of our help.
I know the school as they had done artwork inspired by my paintings in 2016.
It has been more than a week since Hurricane Marie hit hard on Puerto Rico, leaving many Deaf people with no power, food and water. I want to help them, provide whatever they need. The funds will go to their need for food and water and supplies. Whatever you can donate will be much appreciated.
100% of the donations will go to the Colegio San Gabriel para Sordo Deaf school for those impacted by the hurricane.
De^ARTivists United (D^AU) is a non-profit 501(c)3 entity which was founded in 2014 by a group of Deaf View/Image Art De’VIA artists who are committed to ARTivism and social change.
Thank you.
