We’re raising money to buy 3D printing and scanning equpment for Cork Deaf Enterprises, a social enterprise that creates meaningful work and opportunities for Deaf people. With this kit, we can give everyday items a lovely second life and play our part in building a circular economy.

So many perfectly good things end up in the bin just because a tiny or hard to find part has snapped. In a circular economy, we keep products and materials in use for as long as possible instead of throwing them away. With 3D printing, we can make replacement parts, save items that might otherwise be discarded and cut down on waste.

But it’s about more than fixing things, it’s about people and new chances. As a social enterprise, Deaf Enterprises reinvests what it earns into its mission. The kit will help create jobs, build skills and bring in steady income to keep us going strong.

We’d also like to offer our 3D printing and spare part service to everyone, helping people and businesses repair more, waste less and keep treasures in use for longer.
