Filming scheduled for the third week of February 2025, over 6 days.

1940's film noir detective story, with comedic undertones.

SYNOPSIS:

After waking up in a shady bar, a down on his luck detective discovers

that his briefcase - along with the highly classified case evidence it

contained - is missing.

Desperate to recover the documents that could expose a police

corruption racket, he must retrace his steps from the night before and

question everyone he encountered.

As he delves deeper into the mystery, he begins to doubt the loyalty of

those closest to him, unsure of who to trust.

The Big Sleep meets Naked Gun. Mystery, suspense, a young lady in the mix. What's not to like?

Your kind donation will go towards actor expenses, travel, vehicle hire, catering for cast and crew, props, special effects, sound, location costs, additional costume requirements, and anything left over will go towards post production festival promotion! We are also organising small fundraising events in the Falmouth area.

We promise to deliver an aesthetically pleasing short film (11 minutes) packed with shadows, hats, shots and voiceovers, that will surely bring a feel good factor!

Not forgetting the obligatory femme fatal!

MEET THE DIRECTOR:

Jared Weircx is a third year film student at Falmouth University. He is the Writer and Director of this project. Jared is an avid fan of 1940s film noir and naturally gravitated to the genre for his final assessed production.

MEET THE PRODUCER:

Simone Steele is a second year Film student at Falmouth, and has developed a passion for producing. This is her 4th project as a Producer, and she is excited about taking this film out to short film and comedy festivals.
