Donate for Deadly Earthquake in Morocco (Erdbeben)

With a death toll of more than 2,900 people and 5,500 injured (still rising), a deadly earthquake struck Morocco in southwest of Marrakech. The earthquake had a magnitude of 7 and destroyed more thousands of villages in less than 50 seconds. In collaboration with R.C. Agadir Souss Valley Organisation, we are launching a fundraising campaign to collect funds rapidly provide emergency and long-term help for the Region of Taroundant.

All the funds will be transferred to R.C. Agadir Souss Valley, a trusted organisation, and then distributed to the most affected areas. The club is currently running investigations and thorough assessments.

About me

I am Myriem, a French-moroccan citizen, resident in Germany but currently in Morocco. On September 8th, I was in Agadir (still am) when the earthquake hit Morocco. I was at an open air concert when the earth started trembling. In that moment, people started to scream and run in all the directions. Fortunately, I was outside where the vibrations were felt lightly. It wasn’t the case for other people… In the city, buildings trembled and people fell from their beds. In villages, whole houses collapsed while families were sleeping. I am still in Morocco, supporting people in need wherever I can.

Mit einer Todeszahl von mehr als 2,900 Menschen und 5,500 Verletzten (die Zahl steigt noch immer) traf ein verheerendes Erdbeben Marokko im Südwesten von Marrakesch. Agadir Souss Valley Organisation starten wir eine Spendenaktion, um schnell Gelder zu sammeln und Nothilfe sowie langfristige Hilfe zu leisten.

Alle Spenden werden an R.C. Agadir Souss Valley Organisation überwiesen und dann an die am stärksten betroffenen Gebiete verteilt. Der Club führt derzeit Untersuchungen und Einschätzungen durch.

Über mich

Ich bin Myriem, französisch-marokkanische Staatsbürgerin, wohnhaft in Deutschland, derzeit aber in Marokko. Am 8. September befand ich mich in Agadir (und bin es aktuell immer noch), als das Erdbeben Marokko traf. Ich war bei einem Open-Air-Konzert, als die Erde zu beben begann. In diesem Moment begannen die Menschen zu schreien und in alle Richtungen zu rennen. Zum Glück war ich draußen, wo das Beben nur leicht zu spüren waren. So viel Glück hatten jedoch viele andere Menschen nicht... In der Stadt bebten die Gebäude, und Menschen wurden aus ihren Betten geworfen. In den Dörfern stürzten ganze Häuser ein, während Familien schliefen. Ich bin immer noch in Marokko und unterstütze, wo ich kann, die Menschen in Not.

Sur moi

Je m'appelle Myriem, Réunionaise-marocaine, résidant en Allemagne mais actuellement au Maroc. Le 8 septembre, j'étais à Agadir (je le suis toujours) lorsque le tremblement de terre a frappé le Maroc. J'étais à un concert en plein air lorsque la terre s'est mise à trembler. À ce moment-là, les gens ont commencé à crier et à courir dans toutes les directions. Heureusement, j'étais dehors où les vibrations se faisaient légèrement ressentir. Ce n’était pas le cas des autres… Dans la ville, les immeubles tremblaient et les gens tombaient de leur lit. Dans les villages, des maisons entières se sont effondrées pendant que les familles dormaient. Je suis toujours au Maroc, aidant les personnes dans le besoin partout où je peux.
