It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our dear friend, Derwin. We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support from all who have contributed to this fundraiser.

Originally created to assist with Derwin’s medical expenses, this campaign will now focus on supporting the family during this incredibly difficult time. The financial challenges they face in the wake of this loss are immense, and your continued support will make a meaningful difference.

***Urgent Support Needed for Derwin & Maúhawk***

Dear Friends and Family,

We are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts to ask for your help and support for two incredible people, Derwin and Maúhawk. As many of you know, Derwin is currently fighting for his life in the hospital due to a sudden, fast-spreading infection. He is on ECMO life support, an advanced machine that is keeping him alive, but the cost is staggering—around $10,000 per day. To make matters even more difficult, Derwin will need to have his foot amputated as part of his treatment.

As self-employed entrepreneurs, both Derwin and Maúhawk rely on their businesses to make a living. But with Derwin in critical condition and Maúhawk by his side, they are unable to generate any income. The financial burden of ongoing medical expenses, plus the everyday costs of living, is quickly becoming overwhelming.

We are asking for your help. No donation is too small—every contribution will make a significant difference in helping them cover medical bills, daily expenses, and other urgent costs. Derwin and Maúhawk have always been there for so many of us, offering their support, kindness, and generosity. Now, it’s our turn to show up for them in their time of need.
