Hi, my name is Oran and I’m raising much needed funds for Mental Health Charities in Ireland, in partnership with Head In The Game.

Each month, we lose around 60,000 people globally as a result of suicide. Many of these deaths are preventable with the right access to healthcare professionals, yet many are without the opportunity to avail of this.

Throughout the month of September, I’ll be aiming to lift an accumulative total of over 60,000 kg through deadlifts alone - 1 kg to symbolise each life lost. With the right support, I aim to contribute towards saving the next 60,000 lives. Let’s do our best to lift up those around us.

Head In The Game have been working in the Irish football leagues, and sport in general, to increase awareness of mental health within these fields. As well as signposting throughout the leagues, they run a number of fundraisers for their partner charities. All funds raised here will be distributed between the partner charities; Jigsaw (Mental health support services for young people) and Shine (Mental health advocacy & education).
