DeadLegz Atlantic Row 2025 - For the Frank Bruno Foundation

Donation protected
Team DeadLegz has tackled mountains on foot and countries by pedal. Now the Team will cross the Atlantic Ocean on a small rowing boat. Not just any rowing boat, but one equipped with enough safety equipment, food and water so that we may arrive at the other side of the ocean in one piece.

Why do we put ourselves through this crazy challenge?

There are two reasons. The first is that we are not athletes; we are not super-fit people that can brush off a marathon like it was a trip to get the milk. We are ordinary people, and we believe that even ordinary people can accomplish amazing things for the right reasons. We will condition ourselves from slightly lumpy, unconditioned mounds of bone and blubber into people that can row an ocean and display the whole thing on social media for you to join in with us on our road to victory.

The second reason is why DeadLegz was created in the first place. We want to make people's lives a little bit easier. Back in December 2023 the Team visited the Frank Bruno Foundation where they help people with their mental health issues through a programme of controlled non-contact boxing classes combined with wrap around care that addresses the cause of their mental health issues. We were so amazed with the attention and the care the Frank Bruno Foundation gave to their people, that we decided unanimously to have them as our sole charity.

Rest assured that those who know us have supported some amazing charities in the past and that your money will go towards helping more people get better access to mental health support through the Frank Bruno Foundation.

In return for your donation, you will see a team of grown men do something so insane that more people have been into space than have crossed the Atlantic in a rowboat.

To get to the start line, we will need over £70,000 worth of equipment just to get to the start line. From then on, it's up to the determination of The Team to propel themselves across an ocean.

Please be mindful that any donation will fund the team's expedition, and any surplus will go to the named charities. Once the expedition has concluded, all money reclaimed by the trade or selling of expedition equipment will go to charity. We will not be making money from this venture.

Such equipment needed will be:
Specialised ocean rowing boat - £50,000
Safety equipment to avoid loss of life - £10,000
Specialised High-Calorie food for three months - £9000
Expedition Fees - £25,000
Course and certification Fees - £5,000+

Any amount you can donate will go towards this goal. Please remember that donations from the UK might be eligible for Gift Aid, which gives us a little extra towards this amazing goal. Even if you cannot donate anything, please share us on Social Media, mention us to your friends and pass the word about.
