Salt and Honey Productions
An award-winning production company based in WA, SHP’s latest feature film 'The Canary' has won over thirty international awards. We pride ourselves on showcasing Western Australia’s stunning landscapes, supporting local cast and crew, and telling bold, unique stories.

So, what's Dead Centre about?

In a near future where Australia is teetering on economic collapse after years of devastating drought, experimental chemtrails are sprayed across the farmlands in a desperate attempt to revive the barren soil.
Instead, they unleash a nightmare: the native wildlife mutates into savage creatures.

A lone bounty hunter ventures into the outback to kill a deadly mutation that is terrorizing a rural homestead, only to clash with ruthless illegal poachers hunting the same prize.
Amid the gunfire that echoes across the hostile outback, he realizes a horrifying reality: the hunters may be the ones who are being hunted.

Set against the raw, visceral landscapes of Western Australia, Dead Centre is a pulse pounding feature that addresses the themes of environmental impact, illegal poaching and the necessity to protect our native wildlife.

A deadly question reveals itself - who is hunting who?
