The Deac Family
As many of you heard, Josh and Jennifer Deac were involved in a terrible car accident yesterday leaving Jennifer hospitalized and our dear brother Josh passing to be with the Lord. The Deac family is suffering a tremendous loss, one that is still a shock to so many of us :( Josh was a beloved son, brother, friend, and zealous servant of our church. He had an evident passion for the work of the Lord and served wholeheartedly in every way he can. His worship and devotion was contagious to those around him, making others pursue with the same commitment. He exuded joy and laughter into everyone's life. Although we mourn, we also rejoice knowing he is face to face with Glory Himself. At this time we remain sensitive to the lost and hurt of the Deac family and as the body of Christ we want to show our support and love to the Deac family. This gofundme was created in hopes to lift any financial burden for the Deac family during this devastating time. If you find it in your heart, please donate any amount to help cover the medical/funeral expenses. We greatly appreciate your involvement.
When a brother or sister in the Lord dies, we should remember first and foremost that the Father has answered Jesus’s prayer. God is sovereign over our loved ones’ deaths, and he has purposes we may never understand (Deuteronomy 32:39; James 4:15), but we can cling to the truth that Jesus has prayed for his Father to bring his people home. When a Christian dies, the Father is granting to his Son a request that he first prayed nearly two thousand years ago on the night before he gave up his life for his people.
We can at least say this much: When a loved one passes, Jesus gains a lot more than we have lost. Yes, we have lost. We will never again share sweet fellowship with that brother or sister in this life. The magnitude of the loss often eludes our words. But the loss is never beyond Jesus’s words: “Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory.
