Help Sarah Beat Stage 4 Cancer
This fundraiser has been established for my sister Sarah. Sarah is a 45 year old mom of 5 who loves spending time with her family. She enjoys painting, gardening, and traveling.
On April 23rd, Sarah discovered that she has Breast Cancer metastasized to the Bone, stage 4. As you can imagine, this catastrophic event has turned our world upside down. Her family is now faced with additional financial burdens and medical treatments not covered by insurance. As Sarah embarks on the fight of her life, her road to healing will be long.
Cancer is not new to my sister. She had her thyroid removed 10 years ago, and it was discovered that it was cancerous. Then 8 years ago, the doctors discovered precancerous cells in her breast, otherwise known as stage 0. She had the cells removed and underwent radiation. She consistently went to her mammogram and ultrasound appointments, and never had any other issues. Until her back pain became too much to bear. After different therapies, the doctor suggested an MRI of her spine and that is where he discovered that the cause of her pain was cancer. She then had a PET/CT Scan of her spine and body. The bones in her entire spine are cancer ridden, as well as other parts of her body (clavicle, a couple ribs, arm, femur, etc). She is now undergoing treatment to stop it from growing and spreading further. Her prognosis is 2-5 years.
This fundraiser has been established to help ease the financial burden, so that our family can focus all our efforts on Sarah's treatments, healing, and spending precious time together. Any one who knows Sarah knows how giving she is when it comes to her passion of helping those less fortunate. Week after week, year after year, Sarah had a mission to help the homeless in her hometown. She also loves taking care of the elderly.
Sarah attends Faith Living Church in Connecticut and United Baptist Church in Maine. She has great faith in our powerful God.
The Gagliardi's are facing the unthinkable and are doing all they can to help Sarah beat cancer. If we can help alleviate some of the financial pressures that will mount during this time of critical care, we too will have done our part to support them in a time of sincere need.
God Bless You.
