A horrific car accident just west of Maroa, on Friday evening, December 14th, just 11 days before Christmas, claimed the life of this wonderful man, William Shane Peterson.
His wife, Jenny was also injured in the accident and she is at DMH in Decatur with a broken ankle, cuts, abrasions and burns.
Shane was a wonderful and deeply devoted husband, father, son, grandson, and genuine friend to everyone he knew.
Many of you in our commUnity know and love Shane's dad, Patrick Peterson, my cousin/brother and best friend and his beautiful mother Rhea "The Navigator"......who are all devastated.
Sadly, Jenny, Patrick, Rhea, their 5 children and Shanes friends and family are going to need lots of love, prayers, and support from their Clinton/Kenney family and friends to make it through this devastating time.
Unfortunately, Shane has no Life Insurance for funeral arrangements and they hadn't finished Christmas shopping for the kids.
