De Puerto Rico a Cannes: Help Me Make This Dream Come True

Hi! My name is Alondra Martínez.

I’m a Film and Audiovisual Production student at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón. Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been in love with cinema — but it wasn’t until a few years ago, after going through some personal challenges, that I found the courage to fully embrace this dream.

Earlier this year, I worked on a short film called Los Santos as a production assistant, supporting behind the scenes and even helping with makeup for the actors. We poured our hearts into this project, and now — unbelievably — Los Santos has been selected to screen at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.

This isn’t just any festival. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a young Puerto Rican filmmaker like me to grow, connect, and represent my community on an international stage. But I can’t do it alone — I need your help to get there.

I’m raising funds to cover:

• Airfare

• Lodging in Cannes

• Local transportation & meals

• Festival accreditation

• Travel insurance
