Hello, my name is Thomas Swanson and I am fundraising for my dog Luna's leg surgery. Luna is mine and my girlfriend Melissa's lab-pit mix that has been with us for a little more than 4 years. She is a shelter dog from San Diego and was rescued along with her sister Sophie as a bonded pair. They have always played together but recently haven't been able to due to Luna's torn ACL in her hind leg. We took her to the vet when we noticed she was excessively limping, favoring her right hind leg and that was when they informed us she had a torn ACL in that leg and a partially torn ligament in the other. Although the surgery is $5,000 per leg, the one that is fully torn is much more pressing than the other especially with the price tag attached to each.
