Hi my name is Cody. My dog Axel that I got at 6 weeks old when I was 18 years old is really struggling right now. He has always been the happiest most energetic dog I’ve ever seen in my life and one day we woke up to him not doing so well. He has been in and out of the vet 6 times over the past month and the bills keep getting higher and higher. The main concern is that he has lymphoma. The first vet told us his calcium levels were extremely high but since then he has declined and his lymph nodes have swollen to the size of eggs in his neck. He can hardly stand up to go outside and refuses to eat any food. We took him to the vet yesterday for another checkup and b12 shot and on the bright side they did not find any tumors in his X-rays. When we brought him home he did not move until the next morning when we took him back to the vet for an all day IV. The vet called me today and let me know she was really concerned and recommend I hospitalize him for the next few days which will cost anywhere from 1-3 thousand dollars. The last thing I wanted to do was ask anyone for help with this but considering I just bought my first house 5 months ago and I’m a 23 year old trying to start my life it is kind of hard with all of this going on. I will do anything I can to save my boy as he is like a son to me and has always been the best friend I could ask for. Anything would help from anyone and you have no idea how much me Axel and my girlfriend would appreciate any help we can get with this. Life has been tough since this has all started and we have no idea how we can afford all of this. Please if you can do anything to help save my boy I will never forget it. He’s only 5 years old and still a puppy and I don’t know if I can let him go from this life yet.
