Help Jesse Dahlberg beat MS
Donation protected
Everyone who knows Jesse will know his energy and enthusiasm for life. He grew up in the mountains and spends every spare moment exploring them in all seasons - climbing, skiing, biking, and hunting. He is someone who will always drop anything to help a friend, no matter how inconvenient. And he once rescued an elk from an avalanche.
In 2024 Jesse was diagnosed with MS. His options are to go on immune-suppressing drugs for the rest of his life in the hope they will slow the disease down, or get an expensive but highly effective stem cell treatment to try and stop the disease progression altogether. Unfortunately, while HSCT is more mainstream in the UK and US, it is not available outside medical trials in Canada.
MS is a disease where each relapse can be minor, or life-altering. Your immune system is in a game of Russian Roulette with your brain, and slowly destroying itself. While Jesse is currently free from disability, that could change in a moment. HSCT is his best chance for living a life free from disability.
We bought a house together right before his diagnosis, so savings are depleted. Our families are very supportive, but to ease the financial burden of the treatment ($80,000) as well as time off work, we are hoping our friends and community will help us out a bit.
