Rashford is the 5 year old son of our community gardener, Evans. He is a joyful, football-loving 5-year-old who is now fighting for his life. He has been diagnosed with advanced salivary gland cancer - and without urgent surgery and radiation treatment, he will not survive.
His cancer was misdiagnosed for over two years in the public health system. By the time it was finally identified in late 2024, the tumor had spread to multiple lymph nodes. Rashford’s only chance now is a complex surgery followed by radiation - specialized treatment which is only available in Nairobi’s private hospitals.
His family simply cannot afford it.
Rashford is the only child of Evans, our kind and hardworking gardener. Evans’ modest salary and public insurance cannot come close to covering the costs at Aga Khan University Hospital, where one of the only surgeons with the necessary expertise is available.
We’re asking for your help to raise funds for Rashford’s surgery and treatment. Every contribution - no matter how small - gets us closer to giving this little boy a chance to survive, heal, and grow up.
If you’re not able to donate, please help us by sharing this campaign.
Let’s give Rashford the chance he deserves. Thank you for standing with him and his family.
