Help Dawn fight cancer

I want to tell you about Ernie and Dawn Hickman……… They need your help to fight for Dawn’s life due to a cancer diagnosis.
Her journey began in July of this year when she sought an explanation for certain medical symptoms she had been battling (for about six months at that point). After many weeks of appointments and tests, Dawn was diagnosed with a very rare head and neck cancer called Sinus Adenocarcinoma. On the 14th of September, a team of surgeons removed the better part of two separate tumors, one in the frontal sinus, and the other in the Sphenoid sinus (above the back of the mouth). This Sphenoid sinus tumor was pressing on her brain, and was near the optic nerve, which the doctors consider to be a particularly vulnerable spot. Unfortunately, the doctors were not able to remove all of cancer, and they will not be able to do so surgically without posing a significant risk to her livelihood.
So, the Tumor Board, comprised of several specialists, has recommended Proton Radiation Therapy as the next step in Dawn’s treatment. The closest facility that offers this life saving treatment is in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dawn has an initial appointment in just a few days’ time, and she needs to begin the therapy as soon as possible. She has already been informed that treatment will last about 5 days a week, for 6 weeks. Naturally, it would be very difficult for her to come home at all during that time. This is where we need prayers answered.
Dawn will need help paying for food, a place to stay during treatment, and gas to get to and from treatment. We are pulling together as many resources as we can to help her fight this horrible disease. She has not been able to work since the end of July, and she does not know when she will have an income again. (The last step will be for her to have facial reconstruction surgery, only lengthening the journey.)
If you don’t already know the Hickman’s, they are faithful servants of God, and they are looking to Him for guidance through this tough time.
