Peter Sternberger was once a very successful hard working finish carpenter, surfer, scuba diver and fisherman.
Over the next eight weeks our goal is to raise enough money to cover the necessary expenses involved during Peter’s one month stay at the Mayo Clinic's Pain Rehab Center in Rochester, MN. His doctors say this is Peter's last hope to manage the severe nerve pain that's been inflicted upon him over the last 13 years.
This all began November 1, 2002 when a brachial nerve block ( an epidural like procedure) was improperly performed leaving Peter's right hand and arm pretty much useless with cronic pain. He was diagnosed with RSD/CRPS which is:
Reflex Sympathetic Distrophy/Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. This is an incuable nerve disease.
After more than 30 operations failed to give Peter tolerable relief from his pain, we are confident that the Mayo Clinic will succeed in providing the pain management he needs. Because we regard this as a "have to” not a “want to” trip, we need your help to ensure it happens.
