My name is Cecelia Torres. I am a retired teacher with 41 years of teaching under my belt. I retired last year due to health concerns brought on by stress. I have taken care of my health, moved to California, (where the lifestyle is laid back, and the weather is beautiful,) and now I am realizing that my meager retirement does not go very far in this inflated economy. I have taken part time jobs to supplement my retirement, but still struggle to keep on top of the bills. I feel for people who have to live on minimum wage.
That said, I have been looking for my next step in securing a comfortable retirement, and with all of my experience in the field of Education I have decided to take a training given by the Center for Teacher Effectiveness , called Time To Teach, to be certified to train other teachers nationwide and possibly worldwide on this amazing program to foster "encouragement, empowerent and excellence in every classroom".
I was accepted for the training after applying and interviewing, and the next step is to pay for the training. The training itself, including all materials and meals for the four days of the training, costs $675.00. The transportation, lodging, and incidentals are another $825.00. In total I need $1500 in order to attend and succeed in this Training experience, which will allow me, as an Educational Consultant, to set up and conduct trainings as often as I want to, and earn enough to sustain myself in retirement, without having a stressful full time job.
I had been saving to pay for the training since last year, but a crisis with my rental property cost me all that and more. It is even more imperative that I get this training and make a lucrative living, since I no longer have rental income coming in from my property.
The training is from November 4-8, 2015, and I will have to pay for the training before the first of November. If you can help with any spare change, it would be most appreciated. Every penny counts. This training will be the opportunity for me to keep myself involved in the education field, share my wisdom of over 40 years of teaching experience, and fund a stress-free and happy retirement life style.
