Support Mandy's Fight Against Cancer

In March of 2023, my close friend Mandy Peterson was diagnosed with Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma, a rare form of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Mandy's cancer was monitored for several months, which included a bone marrow biopsy and traveling to Mayo Clinic to get a second opinion in April. In October of 2023 the cancer had progressed. A port was placed and in December chemotherapy treatments started and went through March of 2024. After treatment and monitoring, extensive blood work, and PET scans, nothing more was found and Mandy was finally able to say she was cancer free and in remission!

Then, in February of 2025 the cancer returned. There are some positives though; the most recent bone marrow biopsy and echocardiogram came back great; which is promising to support her upcoming treatment and transplant. Mandy will start chemotherapy again in the next few weeks followed by a stem cell transplant at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. Mandy will need to stay at Serenity Housing at Mayo for three or more weeks.

Following the transplant, Mandy will need to be off work for six months to a year to build back her strength and immunity. I have the privilege of working with Mandy. We are Early On Service Providers and we work in the home with families and their children. Mandy is such a giving and caring person, and she works hard for the families she supports. She is always there for anyone in need. She has taught me about compassion and seeing the good in everyone. I created this go fund me for her because she will need support from us now. The funds will be used for medical expenses, housing while at Mayo in Minnesota, necessities, and for lost wages. Time for us to give back to her.
