Yes, sadly the rumors are true.  After 25 years, 4 months, and 6 days DC Jim Vignola has decided to retire from the Anchorage Fire Dept.  
Jim joined the department in 1990 as a firefighter and worked his way up through the ranks to an Officer, Battalion Chief and to his current position as Deputy Chief.  He lived his childhood dream for becoming a fireman and has served the community and his AFD fire family well!  Now it's time for him to pursue other interests...
