David Stock Emergency Medical Fund

Hi. My name is Kimberley (Kym,) I started this fundraiser for the love of my life David. He found out less than 2 weeks ago he had multiple aneurysms of the abdominal aorta and iliac aortas which were rather large and close to rupture. He underwent emergency surgery Monday 08/01/2022 and has been at Johns Hopkins Hospital since 07/31/22.

David (Dave) lost his full time employment as part of the Covid 19 Pandemic layoffs and it was not restored. He has obtained multiple part time jobs but has no leave, therefore no income during this time. We are fortunate that he is on my health insurance but have no idea what it is going to cover. His recovery time will be quite long and once he is well enough we need to address a lung issue as well.

I was not sure what to put in as the dollar amount needed as we do not have a clear idea of the costs accumulated so far or how long he will be out of work . We have an estimate of healing time for the vascular bit the lung is a big unknown.

It feel odd reaching out as I usually spend my time trying to help others but any help is appreciated.

If for some reason the funds are unnecessary because expenses and recovery time are less than we fear funds could be returned or passed on to some who needs help as well.
