Please help me keep my housing…

As some of you know, my housing is in jeopardy. In an effort to keep my housing, I have been forced to reach out to an attorney.

I met with him this morning. He was encouraging as well as honest. I have tried all other avenues to find free/low cost legal help. Unfortunately, this is a very complicated situation.

I have lived in the same apartment for 12 years. I can walk to my job. As crazy as it is, I have come to think of some of my neighbors as family.

My goal is to keep living where I am. If that ends up not being possible, I will have to accept that and move on. As of right now, there is nothing available to me in Livingston/Bozeman/Big Timber. I don’t imagine that changing anytime soon. Good people have had to leave town because of unaffordable housing. We have lost teachers, police officers, doctors, etc because housing is such a nightmare. I don’t want that to happen to me.

As uncomfortably humbling as this is, I am asking for your help. I will use the money to payoff any rent balance I owe and to pay the attorney. If the attorney concludes that there is no way out of this mess, then it’s over. I can’t afford to mentally, physically or financially continue this process.
