DCSRC End Of Year Fundraising Campaign

Tax deductible

Dear Friend,

What a year it has been for DC Strokes Rowing Club! Despite the challenges that the pandemic has presented to the club, we built one of the largest Learn To Row and Novice teams in the club’s history–bringing our membership closer to pre-pandemic levels–and compete in regattas at our home on the Anacostia River, in the DMV area, and beyond. This success is, in large part, to the support of our members, coaches, Board members, and friends of the club.

As a non-profit organization, DCSRC relies entirely on volunteers to bring the sport of rowing to the LGBTQ+ community. The funding we receive to keep our programs running comes from a variety of sources, including club and program fees, as well as the generosity of supporters and friends like you.

In 2023, the Board will be making significant investments in our equipment, and we are asking for your help again to put us on solid footing in the year ahead. Through December 31, DSCRC will be running an end-of-year campaign to raise $8,000, and we hope you will consider making a contribution today. Two DCSRC members have already stepped up with a combined $4,000 donation, and we hope you’ll help us meet the rest of our goal.

Your gift–no matter how big or small–will go a long way in ensuring the longevity of our equipment and programs. Here are some examples of the potential impact of your donation (see pictures below):

We are grateful for your consideration of support and hope that you’ll contribute to our campaign as we prepare for the 2023 season.

Thank you,

DC Strokes Rowing Club
