This year’s Christmas activity, run by yours truly (Arianna), is a small festive fundraiser for the British Red Cross. In the foyer, you’ll find a mini Christmas tree ready to be decorated. If you’d like to take part, you’re welcome to hang a bauble on the tree after making a donation of any amount, either through the GoFundMe link or by popping a contribution into the donation box. There’s no set amount. It’s simply whatever you feel comfortable giving.
Each bauble can be personalised by writing your name or your flat number, so the tree becomes a little display of all of us who’ve joined in. It should bring a bit of colour and community spirit to the building over the holidays.
I chose the British Red Cross because it’s a neutral and trusted charity that steps in to help people facing real difficulty, both here in the UK and further afield. Their teams support families after emergencies such as fires and floods, provide essentials to people struggling through winter, and offer care to those who are isolated or in crisis. Christmas can make these challenges feel even heavier, so every contribution helps them reach someone who needs support.
I know this will give us a chance to do something kind together this season. I thank you all in advance for your contributions.
