On the morning of July 11th, Leah and her beloved dog Max lost everything in a devastating apartment fire. In just minutes, their home and all their belongings were completely destroyed. What wasn’t lost, thankfully, was their lives. Both Leah and Max made it out safely and that’s a miracle in itself.

Now, they’re facing the overwhelming task of starting over from scratch. Leah was left with only the clothes on her back, and Max is still frightened and confused by what happened. Their once safe space is now just ashes and memories.

Max isn’t just a pet! He’s Leah’s best friend, emotional support, and constant companion. The bond they share is deep and healing, and right now, they both need a place to feel safe again.
