Hi My Name is Trisha Vallone. I'm friends with Alana Valdez who is one of the most nurturing, loving, witty, and funniest person that I know. As some of you know her fur baby Kai a beautiful boxer has been having issues with his skin, ears, and overall health. He has been in and out of the vet with skin and ear infections. Alana does so much for other people and always puts her kids and dogs first before herself. She needs our help to offset this crazy year we have all had. If lock down and a slow salon year wasn't enough now her poor Kai will need surgery which can be costly to save his hearing. With this surgery and the in and out of the vet the bills have compounded. He has a Aural Hematoma in the left ear. The surgery will be needed to cut the area open and reattach to the cartilage so the area doesn't fill with blood or infection. This is in the beginning of his ear canal which if infected could shut down the ear canal. He's had ear infections before and allergy season affects him terribly. If they do not get the surgery before allergy season and another infection takes place he is likely to get cauliflower ear which would shrink the ear canal and he could lose his hearing for good. Also, will revert to more infections. Right now Kai is getting blood tests to check his thyroid and to make sure he is ready for anesthesia. Surgery is scheduled for Thursday.
