BBQ as art. Delicious, participatory art.
Did we mention you look amazing today?
The dcbbq gifts delicious smoked BBQ to the Lakes of Fire community, inspires and educates LoF participants in the BBQ arts, and builds the platform for participants to create their own smokey deliciousness to share. The kitchen is where we gather to nourish our bodies and be together. The hearth is where we warm ourselves. Food has an incredible power to unite people, as it’s something we all have in common, and all enjoy.
We build community through the shared enjoyment of food. This is our gift to you. We will be smoking and gifting 200 pounds of BBQ throughout the 2017 Lakes of Fire event.
As dcbbq was not chosen to receive an honorarium grant in 2017, we have organized this fundraiser to help defer our rather large "raw" material costs. Any amount helps. This suppport greatly helps us, as producing 200+ of BBQ (and supporting rubs, sauces, consumables, etc) is... rather expensive.
This year we are expanding our offerings with more briskets, homemade pastrami (on rye!), more ribs, more salmon, and, well more of nearly everything.

The dcbbq is a participatory smoker art project that provides:
1. A community smoker for LoF participants to use for their own BBQ-related projects.
2. A fun place for people to meet, hang out, talk food, eat food, and enjoy each other’s company.
3. A “Feed the artists, staff, and volunteers” offering, with the schedule to bedetermined.
4. Laughs. There will be much laughing.
5. Delicious BBQ. Lots of it.
