Hello everyone,

My name is Danielle. On November 23, 2022, my father lost his battle with acute myeloid leukemia. Dealing with a death of a parent is hard enough. It's even harder when they were still are paying off their home. While losing my dad has been painful, I am fortunate enough that per his wishes, he left our childhood home to my siblings and myself.

However, my siblings don't live in Ohio like my dad and I do. And thus I don't blame them for not wanting to move back to Ohio just for a home. So I took on the role of homeowner ship. It has been a long and lengthy process.

Before my dad passed on, we all tried our best make sure everything Bill and mortgage wise was caught up as his health started to decline more. Herein lies why I making this gofundme.

The bank his mortgage is through says we are extremely past due on the payments due to a curtailment reversal aka they said the way we paid was not valid and the money was given back. To which account, I don't know. My dad had his bank account closed to him falling prey to gift card scams and they flagged his account for fraud.

I have been making all sorts of phone calls to the bank to figure out why the payments weren't processed correctly. They had fixed it at one point thanks to my sister taking the burden and helping do that phone call for me. Where they said in 3-5 billing cycles the payments would reflect the corrections. Well when I got the paper statement for April, it was the 5th billing cycle and it didn't reflect the changes. But when I logged into the app, it says the correct mortgage payment was due.

So since April 2023, I've been paying the mortgage for the house along with my rental house as we try to figure this out and clear out the house to prep me to move in. And that hurt my finances a lot.

And now it's late June almost July and the paper statements don't reflect what I see on the banking app. Last month I received a letter in the mail saying "if you have reached financial hardship, please reach out so we don't get into the foreclosure process".

I've been playing a game of phone tag with the bank and stuck in a loop. I've been trying to get the mortgage put in my name via their probate line but because of the way the deed of the house went. All 3 of us, my two siblings and I, have to be on the mortgage. We all have to be on it to see why their billing system is messing up on their end for why the paper statement isn't the same as the mobile. Even though I emailed over my father's death certificate multiple times, along with the transfer of the deed into our names. I get told one thing from one banker that only they need me but when pushed to the next rep that does this, they need all 3 and the cycle repeats.

I just want to cut a check for the total amout that is close to $4000 to the bank and mail it to them and see if that fixes the issue. But I don't have that kind of money. This is where I need help. Paying for two homes is breaking me so much. If it wasn't for the fact the trips i paid for last year were nonrefundable for this year, I would just use that money but those are all paid off and done. Because I booked for the trips this year 2023, in summer 2022 before I knew my dad had leukemia.

I can't lose my childhood home I inherited. Because as much as I love the home I have made, it has seen too much tragedy from my roommate dying and me finding her body. To my home being robbed twice within the last year. I want a new change if pace. My dad leaving me our home is a blessing. While the amount seen here is lower than what I am looking for. It will help buffer the fact that I am paying for 2 homes while I am packing to move into my childhood home. Moving is expensive. Paying for a mortgage and rent with utilities for both homes is a lot. And I am finally at the point I can't do it myself.

I will be forever grateful for anyone that helps me save my future home.
