Greg’s Cancer Journey

Hi, my name is Sarah Blessing and we are raising funds for my husband Greg. My amazing, loving husband is 46 years old and we currently are guardians to 4 neices/nephew and foster to our 5 mo. old nephew. On April 24th Greg had routine gallbladder surgery and has not been well since surgery. We attributed symptoms to this reason. On May 26 we took Greg to St. Thomas in Sparta where he was transferred to ST Rutherford. At this time doctors thought due to his extreme yellow skin and high bilirubin he possibly had a gallstone blockage or liver injury. After noticing some spots on a CT a biopsy was performed and cancer was found. He has been diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic Adenocarcinoma that has metastasized to the liver, bone and lymph nodes. On June 13 he will have a pet scan to determine if it has spread elsewhere and a port placement June 14 for chemo to start on June 20.This form of cancer is very aggressive. We ate trying to remain positive and rely on God. Any funds raised for our family will be used for any medical costs, household needs, childcare costs(if needed) and travel expenses for treatments as they will be in Murfreesboro.
