Swim 60, Run 600, Row 600, Cycle 6000

I have always wanted to raise money for a heart based charity as I suffered a heart condition myself as a child and also lost a friend whilst at university to a heart condition. I am therefore doing this challenge in memory of Alex Hubbard and I have selected CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) as they aim to raise money to prevent young sudden cardiac deaths. They do this through spreading awareness, screening for cardiac issues and active research, as well as offering a support network for affected families.

The challenge itself is to Swim 60Km, Run 600Km, Row 600Km and Cycle 6000Km over the year. I am tracking all of these activities on a spreadsheet which I will share on a monthly basis to keep everyone up to date on progress! I am planning to do a half marathon, Lands End to John O Groates cycle as well as a swimming event over the year. So if you want to join any of these events or have any questions let me know.

Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me!

More information about Cardiac Risk in the Young: Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) was established in 1995 to prevent young sudden cardiac deaths (YSCD, SADS) through awareness, screening and research; and to support affected families. CRY funds fast-track services at the CRY Centre for Inherited Cardiovascular Conditions and Sports Cardiology and the CRY Centre for Cardiac Pathology.
