Hi everyone,

My name is Erica, and I’m currently a student at Capel Manor College, studying Animal Management. I’m beyond excited to share that I’ve been given an incredible opportunity to travel to South Africa with my college as part of an educational program focused on ecology, conservation, and cultural studies—a journey that means the world to me.

Since I was young, I’ve had a deep love for animals, nature, and the planet we all share. That passion has grown into a clear vision for my future: I want to dedicate my life to wildlife conservation and environmental protection. This trip will be a key stepping stone in that journey.

While in South Africa, I’ll have the chance to:

• Observe and learn about wildlife in their natural habitats

• Study conservation efforts firsthand

• Engage with local communities working to protect endangered species and ecosystems

• Learn how conservation intersects with social and environmental justice

This isn’t just a trip—it’s a once-in-a-lifetime educational experience that will shape my academic path, deepen my understanding, and help me build a future career where I can truly make a difference.

The total cost of the trip, including flights, lodging, program fees, and meals, is approximately £3,649. While I’ve been working hard to save, I need a bit of help to cover the full amount—and that’s where you come in.
