Help us rebuild our house

Hi, my name is Christy and I need help rebuilding my life. My home was flooded after the retaining wall between my yard and the wash collapsed and was washed into my yard during the heavy rains on Saturday, September 2, 2023. The wash flowed through my house and yard for 45 minutes. The interior of my house had water 14 inches deep at the height of the flood. When I spoke to my insurance, they told me that I was not covered for flood damage so they would not cover any damage that occurred to my home. We lost all the furniture except for a day bed frame and the metal computer desk. Family and friends have been helping us pull out the bottom 2 feet of Sheetrock throughout the entire house so the studs will dry out. We cannot do this by ourselves, but do not have the funds to hire professional help. Our home is uninhabitable at the moment. We are blessed to have family and friends who are taking us and our pets in for the short term until we can safely be in our house again. Any help you can give us will help us get back to some semblance of a normal life again. We have lost many possessions, but we are safe and our pets are safe. We were not hurt during the flood and neither were our pets. For that we are so thankful!
