This foundation was created in memory of Jay M. Sturtz.  It was our wish to create this foundation in order to help other couples going through medical hardships.  The hardships that spouses encounter when caring for their loved one in the hospital can be overwhelming.  I know we were always appreciative of all the help that we received.  The costs of travel, lodging and food can add up quickly.  It is only a small comfort but it is one less thing to worry about so that the focus can be on your loved one's healing process.
