Diya Bardwell and Ryan Schaefer are organizing this fundraiser to benefit Civic Suds Corporation.

The Youth Pride Prom Committee is happy to announce we are hosting a LGBTQ+ Pride Prom this year! Join us for a night of dancing and queer joy! See the unanimous support from the DC State Board of Education here!

The age limit for this event is 16-19, anyone under 18 will have to complete a parental/guardian consent form

We encourage you to wear your swankiest prom attire and dress to your comfort level. We only ask that you do not wear clothing depicting offensive language.

Following interviews conducted with DC students and DC GSA organizations, we identified a common request: more opportunities are needed for queer students to build safe, trusting relationships across DC schools. The goals of the event are to create a safe and joyous space for queer DC students, build relationships across schools, support student mental health and activate broader community engagement.

Plans for the event were developed with guidance from BAGLY, a non-profit that has been coordinating pride prom in Boston for over 30 years.
