Dancing Classrooms MAC Event
Donation protected
The Whistle Stop, through its Dancing Classrooms program, advocates for the healthy growth of children through dance for academics and life skills. Some of these skills include self-management, responsible decision-making, self-discipline and self-control, civility, and relationship skills. All of these skills help children contribute to a well-functioning classroom and create awareness of teamwork.
The Dancing Classrooms Program has become such a success that we created an after school program for kids that want to continue to learn these elements, as well as ballroom dancing, outside of their schools. While being in the after school program, the kids involved have had the opportunity to participate in competitions, perform in front of large crowds, and receive lessons from well-trained dancers.
At the beginning of next year, we want to give these amazing children the chance to compete in the Manhattan Amateur Classic held in New York City. Please help us reach our goal and donate so that our after school program dancers can participate in this competition. All donations will go directly to the children’s entree fees and additional assets such as transportation, hotels, food, etc. This trip is a life changing experience for the majority of these children. We appreciate every donation, big or small. Do us a favor and share with your friends and family on Facebook or on other social media sites. Thanks in advance.
