I’m a proud band parent and a single mother, and I’m reaching out from the heart—because our kids have been given the opportunity of a lifetime.

The Eastern Senior High School Blue & White Marching Machine, a powerhouse of passion, precision, and pride, has been invited to perform in London’s iconic New Year’s Day Parade! That’s right—they are the ONLY band from Washington, DC selected for this historic international event!

This isn’t just a trip. This is a once-in-a-lifetime honor to represent not only our school but our entire city on a global stage. Our youth have worked tirelessly—practicing in the heat, cold, and rain—pouring their hearts into every note, every step, every performance. Now, they have a chance to shine before the world.

But we need your help.

The band still needs to raise over $200,000 by October to cover airfare, lodging, uniforms, equipment transport, and more. As a single parent, I’m doing all I can, but I can’t do this alone—and neither can the band.
