I recently partook in a shidduch and though BH the couple is ecstatic, the mother of the girl called me in tears that they simply cannot afford the expenses leading up to the wedding and for the wedding itself.

While fundraising is not my strong suit, I felt it incumbent upon myself to reach out to as many kind hearted people as possible to donate any amount toward helping this mother cover the expenses. Having dealt with this mother and shidduchim for her child/ren over the past few years, I can attest to the fact that she is in dire need of funds and this would be a true chessed. She is embarrassed that the other side should realize this issue, and it is putting a real strain on her happiness.
