I'm Denny, a driver from Slough, and I'm chasing all eight Abbott World Marathon Majors.
Three stars down so far: Chicago 2025 in 4:16:52, London 2026 in 4:03:53 (my PB) and Sydney 2026 in 4:07:20.
The Majors are my main goal. My second is the European Marathon Classics: Rome and London are done, and Lisbon on 10 October will be my third. My third goal is the SuperHalfs.
Next I'm going for Berlin and New York through the ballots. In 2027 I've also got LA in March (that one's just for fun), Manchester in April, Leeds in May and the Big Half.
I work full time and fund all of this myself. Anything raised here goes on race entries, flights and hotels for the races I get into.
Where the money goes (my estimates for the next 12 months):
- Lisbon, October 2026: about £600
- LA, March 2027: about £1,500
- Manchester, Leeds and the Big Half entries: about £220
- Berlin 2027, if I get a place: about £800
- New York 2027, if I get a place: about £2,200
This is my own personal fundraiser, not a charity, so there's no Gift Aid. When I run for a charity, like London for Breast Cancer Now, I'll set up a separate page and say so.
Follow the chase at db-running.com and on Instagram @dbrunning89. I'll post an update here after every race.
Thanks for backing me. No excuses. Just miles.
