Kathryn - medical bills from heart attack

My name is Meredith. I’m good friends and neighbors with Kathryn, who is a single mother of 2 beautiful kids. Her daughter is 7 and her son is 9.

Monday, January 27, started out as just any other ordinary day. I met Kathryn at the bus stop like I do every morning to wait for the bus for our kids. We chatted for about 20-30 minutes, as we always do, then said our goodbyes and went on with our day.

Around 1 pm in the afternoon, I received a text from Kathryn that something was wrong. I confirmed with my friend that he was at the fire station and told him my friend needed help. After calling 911, my friend's crew responded to the call and saved Kathryn’s life. She had a heart attack and went into cardiac arrest, where they had to resuscitate her back to life.

Kathryn is alive and on the road to recovery. Praise God!!! Thanks to the Hanover Fire and EMS, and all the doctors and nurses and everyone at the hospital for saving her life.

As a single mother of 2 young kids, I can’t imagine what financial burden this is going to be on her. I would love to try and help with her medical bills. Kathryn is making huge improvements every day, but it is still a long road to recovery.
