Clayton's Medical Journey

Hi, my name is Melissa and I am trying to raise funds to help my boyfriend, Clayton, pay for medical expenses for treatment of nerve damage in his legs and feet (peripheral neuropathy).

On the morning of Jan 8, 2025, Clayton was taken by ambulance to the Northeast Emergency Medical Clinic in Edmonton, AB. Later that day, we were informed that he had suffered a kidney injury that caused his kidneys to stop functioning properly and he was transferred to the Sturgeon Community Hospital in St Albert, AB.

Clayton spent a week at the Sturgeon Community Hospital with little improvement to his kidneys and it was determined that he would need dialysis to jump start his kidneys to start functioning again, at which time he was transferred to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, AB.

During his time at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, he underwent dialysis and was given different kinds of medications to try and assist with the peripheral neuropathy but nothing has been successful.

Clayton was released from the hospital and sent home to finish recovering on Jan 24, 2025 and since then, nothing has helped with the pain in his feet/legs.

There is a treatment that seems promising but it is very expensive so Clayton and I are asking for help so that he may be able to get these treatments and finally be on the road to a full recovery.
