Jim Bockelman here.
Our friend Lisa Gaiser has had a major set back. Her car somehow spontaneously caught fire while she was carpooling her daughter Ava and her young girlfriends. Thank goodness no one was hurt, as Lisa was able to get them to safety.
Unfortunately though, Lisa's car is a total loss. Insurance has said it won't cover the vehicle.
We all know how difficult life can be at times, but can you imagine what a single mother must face on a day to day basis -- and now without a car!
Sometimes the burdens of life can seem crushing, like if one more bad break happens, we might in fact just break.
Personally, I have been down and I have felt beaten.
But my friends were there to help me. I'll never forget the feeling of hope and love when my friends pulled together and raised money to help me with my Spinal Fusion Surgery. Their gift raise my spirits to the highest they had ever been. Their support allowed me to hang in there and know I wasn't alone. I do believe it was that gesture that saved me from utter despair. Yea, I was in a crap place...
Providing a little charity is a wonderful thing for every one involved. The giver and the recipient. The amount you give is important, but more so is the show of support. That people care what happens to you. That you are in fact, not alone!
I know we can do that for Lisa too!

Whatever you can give is fine as I truly believe it IS the thought that counts.
If we can raise enough for Lisa to get a new car, even better!
I want to pay it forward once again, as some great friends (you know who you are) had taught me to do some 4 years ago.
Let's keep that Aloha spirit alive forever and make this just one example of the love we can show another person. I know we can do it!
