Day for Donna

Donation protected
Hello, this fund has been set up on behalf of many many people so to say it's from just one person is inaccurate.
It's in aid to make a very special person feel loved, happy and make each day just that little bit more exciting.

That person's name is Donna Penny.

Donna Penny was first diagnosed with breast cancer at 35 years old.  Her youngest son Kai was just 23 months old.  Donna went through 6 months of chemotherapy, a double mastectomy and five years of medication but unfortunately the cancer returned to her lymph nodes, adrenal glands and bones and was given a terminal diagnosis.

Throughout this time, Donna wrote a book "Why my Mummy?" to help parents and carers explain what cancer is to their children in simple terms using non-intimidating language.  Donna's energy and positivity is remarkable as her desire to help other families living with cancer is just as high as a priority as fighting the disease herself.

However,  just this May, Donna was told that the cancer is now in her liver.

Whether you know or not know Donna, there is a connection.  It's the word Cancer that draws us together.  It is a disease with a horrible nature.  It can come at any time- at you, your family, your friends and if it already has affected your inner circle, you know that feeling.  No one is exempt.  It's a war that we all need to rally together, to support and love each other in order to fight and fight hard.   We need to be there for those that need us because imagine the world if no one cared.

This is the collaboration of support and love from family, friends and strangers.

All we need is a little bit of you in order to make a big bit of us.

Donna - this is for you!
