Daycare scammed out 8k

Hi. My name is Sara and starting this to help my sister Katie and her daycare. Katie has an amazing home daycare and preschool, recently she was scammed out of $8,000 from her daycare account. Right now she has enough left in her account to cover her teachers however, Katie doesn't have parents send snacks, lunch, pay extra fees for field trips or projects. her and her staff work hard and earn and save this money together ❤️. So her daycare having nothing in savings right now and being stripped down is an terrible spot for her to.be in.

This is how she got scammed/hacked ( they knew how to hit her)

Hey everyone this so hopefully none of you get scamed like I did. I was the victim of an elbrote scam yesterday. My computer got hacked.. I called the Microsoft number that was in my screen and after running some scans they told me that someone in Russia hacked my computer and was using my IP address to download child corn. (Insant panic set it) they suggested I call my bank to make sure no fraudulent charges were made. I hung up and CALLED my bank myself...told them I needed to talk to the fraud department and the bank transfered me to what I thought was the fraud department apparently the whole call was the hackers....the hackers intercepted the call I made to the bank and then proceeded to talk to me as the fraud department...now I want to note I did not give ANY info over the phone at all or even to the ppl at the "fraud" department...but they read me my account charges to ask if they were fraudulent...read an $8000 charge for child porn to me and then obviously I said dispute that I didn't make that transaction...then they proceeded to tell me I couldn't dispute it and told me a "loophole" on how to cancel out the charge... I was in such a panic about the child porn aspect of it that I followed what the "fraud" department instructed me to do. 4 hours on the phone with who I thought was my bank and they were able to scam the money out of me. Now of course once I realized I was being scamed it was to late....please don't let this happen to you they were even able to convince me that if I told the ppl at the bank about the child porn hack that since all this hadn't been processed yet that they would have to call the cops and I could go to jail! I consider myself a very smart person but this was elaborate and very very well done...I don't want this to happen to anyone else
