My name is Dax Tompkins and my mother, Nicola Tompkins has battled addiction and mental health for many years. She unfortunately ended her struggle on Tuesday June 18th, 2024 in London Ontario at the LHSC University Hospital at the age of 53. I have seen first hand how tough and destroying any addiction and/or mental health battle can be to a person, friends and family. My mom was always tough, she never wanted anyone to think she was weak or needed help. Although in some ways admirable, this led her to never receive the proper help and treatment that she needed. We didn’t see eye to eye on a lot of stuff, but I will always love and respect my mom for never giving in, never giving up and always trying to do what she thought was right. I will miss you everyday momma. The CMHA is an amazing organization who do help people like my mom. Any donation would be appreciated, if you are unable to donate I understand.
