**UPDATE**
We want to thank everyone so much for all of your kindness and donations. It really means the world to us.
You can find Dax's obituary here. We would love to hear all of the funny stories you have of Dax.
Hello, thank you for taking the time to read this. This Go Fund Me is being set up to honour the life of Dax Fenez, by his close family and friends.
On Thursday, August 4th, Dax suddenly passed away, leaving behind a wife, four children, his parents, his sisters and brothers, numerous nieces and nephews, friends and loved ones. Where there was once love and laughter is now an immeasurable hole in the life he left. There are no words that can describe the hurt that his family is feeling at this time. We are completely devastated and broken.
Dax was a self-employed contractor doing home renovations in Winnipeg and the surrounding area. In 2015, upon learning that he and his wife, Analyn would be expecting their third and fourth child (twins!), his career and hard work enabled him to become the sole provider for his family. Allowing Analyn to stay home, raise their children, and build a life they dreamed of. As a result, she could stay at home for 6.5 years, and once their twins became school-aged in 2021, she was able to return to work at her children’s school.
To say that Dax was hardworking is an understatement and only a sliver of the man he was. He was kind and funny. He had the best (or worst, depending on how you looked at it) Dad jokes. He relished being the “fun uncle” and was always handing out candy, playing and just being a kid with all of his nieces and nephews. He was a forever child at heart, always goofing around and always trying to make you laugh. Dax had a way of making you feel comfortable around him with his easy-going attitude that made you feel like a friend.
We are setting a goal of $100K to help Analyn and her children get through these next few weeks and hopefully in the next year as they process the loss of their husband, father, and sole provider. Any funds collected will help keep this family stay close to whole for as long as we can. Because Dax was self-employed, there is no health insurance to rely on for any costs that this family will face and, unfortunately, no mortgage insurance. We hope that whatever you generously donate will help with these costs and keep their children in all of their extracurriculars to help keep some normalcy in their lives.
We want to close by thanking you for your love and support. We appreciate any amount, words of kindness, prayers and every last one of you who is rallying together to be there for the Fenez family. From the bottom of our hearts, we appreciate you all.
At this time there are no funeral arrangements made. We will be updating on here in the days to come.
Thank you again. And God bless you all.
