On the 08.08.25 - one day before our son turned one - our whole world was flipped upside down.

After an exhausting 14 weeks with endless sickness, we started pushing back when doctors kept saying to us ‘it’s just a virus’. Dawson never got better, just progressively worse & the lymph nodes on his neck started to double in size. After countless tests, scans & hospital stays, a biopsy of his lymph nodes was taken & we were finally given the devastating news that our beautiful boy, has neuroblastoma.

I’ve started this fundraiser because we are needing help covering the unexpected expenses that we will face as we uplift our entire lives & move to Brisbane while Dawson gets his cancer treatment. At this stage, doctors have told us we will be away from home potentially for up to 6-12 months.

I’m currently still on maternity leave, which means my husband is our sole income. However, we already know he won’t be able to work consistently in Brisbane due to needing to be with Dawson & I for future hospital appointments & treatments.

It feels like our whole world has just stopped spinning.

We are faced with so much uncertainty. That’s what scares me the most. Uncertainty for what our next steps are, where we will be in 6 months time & what Dawson’s health is going to look like.
