The Kentucky Hemp Association (KYHA) is a non-profit 501 c (6) organization located in Kentucky. We are putting together this page to raise money to support the citizens of Dawson Springs, KY as they rebuild their lives.
On Friday, December 10th the city of Dawson Springs was left devastated after a tornado ripped through Western Kentucky. Please join us in helping our fellow Kentuckians by donating what you can.
Our KYHA president Katie Moyer and her family are residents of Dawson Springs. They are okay, but want to help their neighbors rebuild. Katie has been on the ground doing search and rescue, supply drops, overseeing cleanup efforts, and has been coordinating the volunteer effort as a liaison between volunteers and the city/county/federal governments.
The KYHA intended to use the donations to purchase generators, candles, lighters, and Christmas presents for all ages, and to provide food, clothing, and personal care items to the citizens of Dawson Spring who are in need. However, due to the generosity of people all over the United States, we are able to pivot and focus on meeting individual homeowners’ needs to repair and rebuild. This can be used in a number of ways, but the goal is to fill in the gaps where insurance or government funding doesn’t cover.
